Funds raised from our events are redistributed to Holliston through a grant process, led by our Community Investments Committee. The amount varies but in past years, HNN has awarded nearly $10,000 in grants to Holliston organizations including the Public Library, Parks &Recreation Department, Police Department, Pantry Shelf, Council for the Arts,Police & Fire Departments, Senior Center, and Historical Society…to name a few!
Each year, HNN members assemble ~160 Thanksgiving Baskets for deserving families through the Food Pantry. The program is made possible by donations from local businesses and individuals as well as volunteers from the club and beyond.
Working with the Holliston Senior Center and other senior organizations, HNN coordinates the community coming together to supply and deliver close to 50 families a hot Thanksgiving meal including turkey, gravy, potatoes, vegetables, and desserts. Members of the community prepare and deliver the food items the day before Thanksgiving and another crew assemble and deliver the meals Thanksgiving morning.
HNN coordinates with the Food Pantry to fill requests for Easter Baskets for more than 50 children ranging in age from a few months old to teenagers. The event is made possible thanks to the support of the community. Families, individuals, churches, and other organizations participate through donations and volunteering.
