We had a great discussion of our January book, The Tiffany Girls, last month. We hope you will join us for our next meeting, on Wednesday, February 19, at 7:30 pm, where we will be discussing Someone Else’s Shoes, by Jojo Moyes. You are more than welcome to attend Book Club if you haven’t finished (or even started) the book—Book Club is mainly an opportunity for old and new friends to get together and chat and snack.
The Holliston Public Library reserves several copies of each book for us—they can be found (typically about a month ahead of each meeting) on the shelves along the windows on the right as you enter the library; ask at the circulation desk for the HNN book. For those who want to get a head start on next month, our March book will be The Literary Undoing of Victoria Swann, by Virginia Pye. Our choices for the rest of the year—subject to availability—are:
- April - Real Americans by Rachel Khong
- May - The Cliffs by J. Courtney Sullivan
- June - The Housemaid by Freida McFadden
We hold most meetings in person but also have a Zoom option if you can’t attend. Please contact Debbie if you have any interest in hosting a meeting.
About the book:
Nisha Cantor lives the globetrotting life of the seriously wealthy, until her husband announces a divorce and cuts her off. Sam Kemp is struggling to keep herself and her family afloat. When Sam accidentally takes Nisha's gym bag containing her six-inch high Christian Louboutin red crocodile shoes, the resulting jolt of confidence makes her realize something must change—and that thing is herself. This is a story about how just one little thing can suddenly change everything for both women.
